Where will the curtain be hung? On a curtain rod or a rail?;
Hanging a curtain on a curtain rod
To hang curtains on a curtain rod, we have 2 options:
1) On the curtain rod
When we decide to order a curtain that will be hung on a curtain rod, we should take into account that its cost will be higher. In this case, ready-made curtains are excluded, which are mass-produced and in specific dimensions, mainly from China.
Why is curtain sewing with studs expensive and what alternatives are there?
The quality of the materials and the intricate and handmade work make the difference in their price. The alternative to a curtain rod is the tunnel, where we pass the curtain rod through the top of the curtain. An even more economical solution, which cuts the cost in half, are the suspenders.
The sura is always 1/2 and does not allow the curtain to be stretched over the curtain rod. In case you notice that the curtain rod is quite thick, contact a specialist to inform you about whether it is preferable to pass rings through the curtain rod.
2) On hooks (rings)
If we want our curtain to move easily on the curtain rod, we should choose rings.
Hanging a curtain on a railway
Hanging on a rail is a practical solution that is suitable for indoor spaces. We hang the curtain on a pleat tape, with a choice of 3 height levels. In a children's room where children are used to playing and pulling the curtains, repositioning them on the rail will be a daily task, as the hooks can easily come off. For a more impressive shirring and appearance, in addition to a simple 7 cm pleat tape, we have the option of choosing tape with a blind pleat, a double pleat, a triple pleat and a width of up to 17 cm. We choose this type of tape to sew them to fabrics, such as jacquard, taffeta, cotton. If our curtain is transparent, we use a transparent pleat, so that the pleat is not visible at the top.
What is the hem of a curtain and how do we calculate it?;
The pleats of a curtain are the curves it makes when gathered (puckered). Usually, to cover a one-meter window you need 2 meters of fabric. In case you have very thin curtains, such as voiles or gauze, in order for them to be rich you will need 2.5 – 3 meters.

Fabrics that have a horizontal pattern in the current meter are suitable for spaces with sufficient height (e.g. 3.5 meters), such as hotels, restaurants and villas.
How do we measure curtains?;
In curtains that have braces, braces, bindings, false braces we measure from the top of the curtain rod to the point we want. If you have rings We measure from the hooks to the desired point, which is usually 1-2 centimeters above the floor. Image B.
